Now having tried many of their formulas for my pooch, I thought it useful to write up some Taste of the Wild reviews.

Taste of the Wild Overview

Taste of the Wild is a dog food brand that was brought into the market in 2007 by Diamond Pet Food. Based in Missouri, it manufactures all its pet foods in the USA in four undisclosed manufacturing facilities across different state lines.

The company has earned a reputation globally for manufacturing high-quality canine and feline foods with natural and specially selected ingredients that taste like homemade dog food.

Why Taste of the Wild Dog Food?

One thing that genuinely makes Taste of the Wild stand out is their choice of ingredients. The brand promises to give your pets a taste of how they would have eaten in the wild. Its foods utilize high quality ingredients that are rich in flavor and nutrients.

Its proteins are sourced from real animals and fish that are sustainably raised or fished. They use ingredients such as bison, venison, and quail that are usually eaten by dogs in the wild. The meats are tested for hormones and antibiotics while being processed. Once processed, the meat is preserved using natural preservatives. This commitment to authenticity is what makes them stand out among their competitors.

Every ingredient, including vegetables and fruits, undergo thorough screening to ensure they do not contain toxins. If toxins are found, that particular ingredient is discarded.

Taste of The Wild is also a favorite because it offers a lot of choices to pet owners. The brand comes in a number of flavors and with different targets. There are foods designed for puppies, while others are for adults and aged dogs. There are also breed-specific foods that cater to the unique needs of that particular breed.

Unlike other dog food manufacturers, Taste of the Wild is a 100-percent grain-free. This aspect makes it a perfect choice for pet wonders with sensitivities. Their dog and puppy foods also include prebiotic microorganisms that promote a healthy digestive system.

What are probiotics, and why are they included in Taste of the Wild dog food?

Probiotics are good bacteria that help your pet digest food better. There are both good and bad bacteria. The bad ones can make your dog sick, while the good ones help your dog break down food for easy absorption. Most of Taste of the Wild food includes this wonderful microorganism to ensure your puppy or dog gets the maximum nutrients from what it eats.

How do I measure my dog’s food?

Every dog recipe includes feeding instructions for your dogs. The amount of food your dog takes depends on several factors such as age, size, and breed. Observe the easy-to-follow feeding instructions to ensure your puppy or dog is not malnourished.

What is the difference between large breed and small breed Taste of the Wild formulas?

Large and small breeds have different dietary requirements. Small breed dogs are more active than large breed dogs and so need more protein and energy compared to their larger relatives. Smaller dogs also often prefer smaller kibbles. Each formula caters to the needs of that particular breed.

Final Thoughts

From my reviews, Taste of the Wild is a premium brand that offers high-quality pet food formulas. It has a variety of dog food for both dogs and cats that cater to different sizes, breeds, ages, and medical requirements.

It also strictly adheres to high-quality standards when sourcing and formulating ingredients to deliver unique, delicious flavors that canines and felines around the world will love.
